Tom and Jean McCracken Return to Brazil as Special Assignment Missionaries

The Association of Churches of God in Amazônia has invited the veteran missionaries back to Brazil to teach at Boa Terra Theological Institute in Itaituba. Boa Terra Norte is led by Pastors Oreste and Marlene Greiner and is a daughter school of Boa Terra in Curitiba, in southern Brazil. Leadership education for ministry was begun in Amazônia by Bill and Betty Mottinger in the mid-1970s with T.E.E. (theological education by extension). Boa Terra Norte was organized in August 2000, and Dale and Connie Fillmore taught there until they returned to the United States in mid-2008.

Church of God Ministries is pleased to announce the appointment of Rod and Jan Dormer as missionaries to Kenya. In this new assignment, Rod will serve as the principal for the Kima International School of Theology (KIST). The Dormer’s are actively working to raise the needed funds to support their new missions assignment.

Global Missions rejoices to announce the appointment of Ron and Alta Ruthe Jack as special assignment missionaries to Kenya.

Ron and Alta Ruthe have been married for fifty years and have three children and six grandchildren. They both graduated from Anderson College (University) and Ron also graduated from the School of Theology. They pastored churches in Kenosha, WI, and Oakland, CA, before Ron earned his doctorate and spent twenty-six years at Warner Southern College in Florida on the faculty and in administration.

Reassignment Announced for Don Deena Johnson

Global Missions is pleased to announce a new assignment for career missionary Don Deena Johnson. Her new assignment takes her back to Japan where she will serve in ministry with the Nishi Kunitachi Church of God. Additionally, her outreach ministry will include teaching English with the Sei Ai Gakusha, a preschool program in the Nishi Kunitachi area.
