Anderson University announces search for VP for Academic Affairs

Anderson University (Anderson, Indiana) recently announced a search for the role of Vice President for Academic Affairs and invites applications and nominations for the position. The university is sponsored by the Church of God, Anderson, Ind., with roots in the Wesleyan/Holiness tradition. It enrolls over 2,700 students, has a faculty of 145 FTE and has an annual budget in excess of 63 million. The university is composed of two colleges, and three schools offering a full range of undergraduate programs as well as graduate programs in business, music, nursing and teacher education and a graduate School of Theology. It is primarily a residential institution but has a growing program in adult and continuing education. It holds accreditation from ACBSP, ATS, CSWE, NASM, NATA, CAATE, NCATE, HLC-NCA and CCNE.

More Graduates Cause MACU to Hold Fall 2008 Graduation

For the first time in its history, Mid-America Christian University will hold a fall graduation ceremony. 

Thanks to increasing numbers of graduates, MACU will hold its second graduation ceremony of 2008 at 2 p.m., Dec. 13, in the University Chapel on the MACU campus in Oklahoma City. In May, a school record of 281 students received diplomas.

Warner Pacific Names Dr. Andrea Cook as Next President

PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific College has selected Dr. Andrea Cook as its seventh president, following a national search to replace former president Jay Barber Jr., who retired in May after twelve years in office. An experienced university administrator, Dr. Cook is the first female president in Warner Pacific’s 71-year-old history. She will hold the title President-Elect until her nomination is confirmed by the General Assembly of the Church of God at its annual convention in June 2009.

Warner Southern College Renamed Warner University

We have been a four-year college for 40 years, have offered master degree programs since 2001 and have greatly expanded campus facilities over the past 15 years. The name change broadens the institution’s image to more accurately reflect the quality and diversity of our people and programs.”

Carl Caldwell, VP for Academics at Anderson University, announces retirement

Anderson University recently announced that Dr. Carl H. Caldwell, vice-president for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College, will retire at the conclusion of the 2008-09 academic year.  Upon retirement, Dr. Caldwell will conclude a distinguished career of 38 years in academic and administrative leadership.  He has served at Anderson University since the spring of 1996.

Anderson University welcomes alumni, family and friends back this weekend for fun and fellowship during Homecoming 2008, titled “U R AU” October 17-18. Along with the annual homecoming football game and introduction of the homecoming king, queen and court, there will also be opportunities to enjoy the RavenFest, class and academic reunions, and a theatrical production entitled “Seussical.”
